Giving every dog the best possible chance for success
Rappahannock Animal Welfare League (RAWL)
We provide an energetic adoption program that finds loving homes for the dogs in our care. We seek to rehabilitate and adopt every dog. We also have active community outreach and educational programs. We provide care and feeding 365 days a year; spay/neuter, all vaccinations, microchip, heartworm test and medical care for each animal; and salaries for dedicated and caring shelter employees. Each RAWL dog receives a basic health exam and is spayed or neutered, microchipped, given a heartworm test (for all dogs over 6 months old), and administered a heartworm preventative monthly, DHLPP C, Bordetella (for kennel cough), rabies vaccination, and Frontline during flea and tick season. All RAWL dogs get: socialization time with staff; socialization with other dogs in preparation for new homes; and plenty of exercise in all weather. Every RAWL dog gets individual attention. Help us give every dog the best possible chance for success.
