Nirvana Ridge Ferret Rescue

We are a no-kill animal welfare organization, established to benefit the domestic ferret (Mustela Putorius Furo). Our mission is to protect and provide for any ferret(s) in need, regardless of health, age or origin, until a permanent loving home can be found. Our mission includes the educational promotion of the domestic ferret as extraordinary, curious, and endearing pets. We have accepted and cared for well over 1,000 ferrets since our inception. All ferrets that come to the shelter are immediately provided with a health evaluation, routine care, and veterinary care. Then, each animal that is admitted to the shelter is logged in a master registry. Routine care provided includes a flea shampoo bath, nail clipping, and ear cleaning with Ivermectin to control ear mites. Help us work with community veterinarians, local pet stores, county animal shelters, other ferret groups, and the general public to take care of local ferrets and promote the ownership of domestic ferrets at large.
