NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) Piedmont

We are a grassroots mental health affiliate, which serves Culpeper, Fauquier, Madison, Orange, and Rappahannock Counties. Our mission is to provide support, education, and advocacy for individuals living with a mental illness, their families, and their friends. We work together as a testament to the knowledge that recovery is possible. With support and education lives can improve. We care, and by helping each other, as well as others affected with mental illness, we can all understand more. Hope lies in understanding.

Currently, NAMI offers the following programs: Monthly Meeting, for family members and individuals living with a mental illness; Family Support Group, for family members of individuals living with a mental illness; Connections, for individuals living with a mental illness; Family-to-Family Class, an educational option for family members of individuals living with a mental illness; Peer-to-Peer Class, for individuals living with a mental illness; In Our Own Voice, a presentation given by individuals in recovery.
