Free Clinic of Culpeper

The Free Clinic of Culpeper provides confidential medical care to uninsured residents of Culpeper between the ages of 18 and 65 who have incomes at or below 250 percent of the federal poverty level. We provide medical treatment for acute and chronic illnesses. Our patients are also provided with educational information and opportunities to learn preventive maintenance for medical conditions such as diabetes, weight control, and hypertension. We run a licensed pharmacy to provide medications for our patients. Each year we provide over 8,500 prescription medications valued at $1.4 million. Today we employ six paid staff and use 41 volunteers to care for over 500 uninsured low-income adults. The Free Clinic’s additional resources include service providers for behavioral health, dental care, transportation, housing, literacy, and employment and job training.
