Fauquier Free Clinic

The Fauquier Free Clinic is the primary health, mental health and dental care provider to thousands of low income, uninsured people in Fauquier and Rappahannock counties. Most are working poor families who do not earn enough to pay for health care. We were established to provide a single source for the charity medical, dental, and mental health care these families need. Using a mix of volunteer and staff clinicians the clinic provides high quality health care services to all who qualify.

Despite changes in the economy, many Fauquier County residents under age 65 do not have health insurance. In Rappahannock, the problem is even more prevalent. We are the only provider of charitable health care services in the community. Even in cases where physicians and other health care providers will see patients at no charge, purchasing the prescription medication is typically financially impossible. The clinic obtained $6 million dollars in free medications last year by advocating directly to the manufacturers on behalf of our patients, but some medications are simply not available through these means. Help ensure that all local citizens have access to the care they need to be healthy.

• $500 funds complete dentures for someone who has lost their teeth due to gum disease and decay
